Kate and Mary scoop South Cliff Captain’s Drive-in win
The ladies of South Cliff Golf Club took part in a greensome competition on Sunday November 13, which was played over 15 holes for the new Lady Captain Alison Lockwood’s Drive-in.
Over the years this competition has been played in difficult conditions and this year was no exception as the fog rolled in at the Deepdale Avenue club.
However the ladies set off in great spirit and the scores were excellent.
In first place with a nett score of 65 was the pairing of Kate Owen and Mary Ryan.
Second place with a nett score of 66 (after a countback on the back six holes) went to the duo Gloria Pickering and Ann Wrigglesworth.
Third place was the duo of Judy Locking and Dorothy Day with a nett score of 66.
Fourth place went to Lindsey Lee and Melanie Morton with a nett score of 67.
