LECTURE – The Scarborough Archaeological and Historical Society’s next lecture is on Monday, December 12, in Scarborough Library, 7.30pm, Nick Hiley will deliver a lecture, entitled Before the Bombardment: MI5 and the German Invasion of Britain.
This talk examines the importance of the invasion that never was, and its impact on the North Riding in the years before the bombardment.
Nick is a historian who has spent his career in higher education, and running archives and museums. He has been researching and writing the history of the British secret service since the 1980s. Lectures £3 for non-members.
