Find the cost of living help you need
Households in North Yorkshire struggling with the cost of living are being directed to community and financial support.
As more people struggle to afford everyday essentials and bills, North Yorkshire County Council has put together a coordinated response across the county to highlight the support available.
The council is also working with community support organisations (CSOs), which have extensive knowledge on locally-run projects. CSOs can direct people to local support, such as food banks, warm spaces or support groups.
There are 23 CSOs across the county. A list of schemes can be found at www.northyorks.gov.uk/ info/community-supportorganisations
Libraries are also on hand to provide a warm and friendly welcome.
The council is also urging people to look out for family, friends and neighbours during winter.
Some community spaces in North Yorkshire are looking at extending their opening hours and activities to provide a warm and inviting venue. Venues are encouraged to register at www.warmwelcome.uk which provides a map.
The county council will update its cost of living information during winter at
