FROGS VS. TAYLOR

-

FROGS are hoping to knock Taylor Swift off the top spot of Australia’s music chart this Christmas – yes, really!

An album of frog calls called Songs of Disappearance features the sounds of over 43 different species recorded by scientists and the public. The album lasts for an impressive 50 minutes and was put together to raise awareness of Australia’s declining frog population.

Dr Jodi Rowley of the FrogID project said she hopes it’ll make it to number one in the chart: “It’s an amazing album for a really good cause and we’ve had a really good response so far. So, my fingers are crossed.”

All of the profits from the album will go to The National FrogID project.

Last year, Songs Of Disappearance (Australian Bird Calls) was a surprise Christmas success when it charted in the top five – can the frogs make history too? They croak so!
