Stamp Club
The Scarborough Philatelic Society (stamps) met for the November meeting. This was competition night.
The one page competition was shared between Chris Phillips (Edward Vlll) and PeterArnett(ChristmasDaypostmarks).
The four page was won by Ted Lunn with a fine display of Newfoundland. Special mention goes to Nigel Callaghan for a novel display with an Irish twist, which came close to being the winning entry.

The top prize of the night went to John Penrose who submitted an interesting 16 page competition standard entry, entitled The Provisional Stamps of the Faroe Islands, which were basically Danish stamps which had to substituted for the local issues duringtheFirstandSecondWorld Wars.
The next meeting is the Christmas social evening on Wednesday, December 14, at Osgodby Community Centre, 7pm.
