METHODIST CHURCH – Burniston Methodist Church worship services (with children and young people's groups) are held each Sunday at 10.30am; on the first Sunday of each month at 7.45pm The Gathering will be held – an informal cafe-style service with an invited speaker.

Regular meetings: Mondays, 6pm, Boys’ Brigade (term time); Wednesdays, 1011.30am, Babies and Toddlers Group (term time); Thursdays, 9.45am to noon, The Meeting Place.

A warm space offering fellowship along with hot drinks and snacks. Jigsaws, table games, newspapers and magazines are also available. Free wi-fi. Pay as you feel.

For more informatio­n see the website www.burnistonc­hurch.org.uk BOWLS CLUB – Burniston and Cloughton Bowls Club opens its green on Saturday, April 13, 2pm, when members can enjoy their first outdoor game of the season.

Anyone interested in playing bowls or seeing what is involved would be more than welcome. Please wear flatsoled footwear. We provide mentoring and support for new members and no fees are charged for the initial weeks. The green is located behind Burniston Village Hall up the slope.

WI MEETING – The next meeting of Burniston and Cloughton WI will be held tonight, Thursday, April 11, 7pm, in Burniston and Cloughton Village Hall. This will be a craft demonstrat­ion involving the art of felting. Guests welcome and prospectiv­e members can try for free.

ST MARY’S – This Sunday, April 14, a Holy Communion service will be held at St Mary’s Church at 10.30am. The families@4 service will start at 4pm in church.

The art group is held in the church hall on Tuesdays, 10am-2pm.

Crafternoo­n in the church hall will take place this Saturday, April 13, 2-4pm. Fun craft for all ages.
