Howden and Bott shine as Hedgehogs beat Rufforth
Heslerton Hedgehogs Under-15s welcomed Rufforth for their penultimate game of the season looking to make it back-to-back wins.
However things got off to the worst possible start as Ru ff or th took the lead.
An unfortunate injury resulted in the away team going down to 10 men with no subs and the Hedgehogs looked to take advantage. James Stannard levelled before half-time.
The second half saw Hedgehogs on top and Eli How den fired them ahead. A nervy final five minutes saw Rufforth pile forward looking for an equaliser but the Hedgehog backline held strong to claim the win. Howden and Harley Bott got them an of the match votes.

The away team shocked the unbeaten Spiders by taking a 1-0 lead into the break.
Heslerton came out fighting in the second half but couldn't find the net until Josh Windsor popped up late on to equalise. Spiders finish the season with 15 wins and a draw to secure promotion to Division Two in style.
Stamford Bridge were the visitors to Settrington to take on Heslerton Heroes Under14s.
Keane Welburn struck for the home team in the first half with a cool finish over the keeper.
A chance to double the lead went begging after Welburn was brought down in the box but the resulting penalty struck the bar.
The second half saw both teams cancel each other out however Stamford Bridge were unlucky not the draw level late on with a free kick which rattled the bar and away to safety.
Anderson Hahn got the man of the match vote.
Scarborough Ladies FC Under-18s roared to a 10-0 home win against Poppleton.
The CYGFL champs took the lead in the fifth minute through a Lexie Daubney volley. Lucy Fairbank added a second, thenJorji Crawford headed home before Amelia Breckon made it 4-0 at the break.
Breckon scored a great solo goal in the 47th minute, and two minutes later Breckon completed her hat-trick by tapping it in.
Lucy Tighe added seventh, followed by an own goal. B reckon got her fourth of the game after 85 minutes and Lucy Webster made it 10-0 just before the final whistle.
Player of the match was B reckon, who was also making her 100th SLFC appearance.
