Pickering Musical Society with director Luke Arnold have unveiled it next production – the musical Hello, Dolly! Jerry Herman’s timeless masterpiece transports audiences to the bustling streets of turn-of-the-century New York City, where the vivacious matchmaker Dolly Levi embarks on a journey of love and self-discovery.
Filled with heart, humour, and unforgettable tunes such as Before the Parade Passes By, Put on Your Sunday Clothes and the title song, the musical extravaganza promises an evening of joy and enchantment for theatregoers of all ages.
Under the direction of Luke Arnold, known for his creative vision, Hello Dolly! will come to life in a spectacular production that celebrates the magic of live theatre.

Leading the cast in the role of Dolly Gallagher Levi is Rachel Anderson, who brings her brand of charisma to the stage.
Joining her are Michael O’Brien as the formidable Horace Vandergelder, Marcus Burnside as the lovable Cornelius Hackl, and a stellar ensemble of performers who will bring the vibrant world of Hello, Dolly! to life.

On stage, the role of Dolly Gallagher Levi was originally written for Ethel Merman but she turned it down as did Mary Martin – although both eventually played it. Carol Channing played her first.
