I enjoyed Cameron Mcneish’s article High Above The Glen about Glen Coe and Rannoch Moor in your July edition. In 1983, I was also high above the same place as Cameron, but instead was sitting in the rear seat of a Fournier RF-5 powered glider as a member of the Scottish Aero Club, Perth. Shutting off the power, we circled in silence above Glencoe. It was beautiful on a cloudless autumn day. Not a word spoken between the pilot and me as the beauty and the silence rendered us speechless.
