Roddy Buchanan and Fort William Shinty Club Roddy is a Scottish film and installation artist who studied at Glasgow School of Art. He has previously been commissioned as British War Artist by the Imperial War Museum, and his work is in the collections of the Tate and the National Galleries of Scotland.
Deirdre Nelson and Newtonmore Camanachd Deirdre was born in Northern Ireland, graduated from Glasgow School of Art, and has a particular interest in Gaelic sports. She works mainly with textiles, and has had solo shows at An Tobar on Mull, Taigh Chearsabhagh on North Uist, and has worked on Fair Isle, Orkney and in Iceland.
Tom Smith and Beauly Shinty Club
Former Lovat shinty player Tom is the co-founder and co-director of the research and design collective Lateral North. Their work has represented Scotland at the Venice Biennale, and has been exhibited at the Scottish Parliament. They are currently working on a crofters’ memorial project for Staffin on Skye.
John Mcnaught and Skye Camanachd
John grew up in Skye and now works as a printmaker and photographer, and is studio manager at the Highland Print Studio. He has had work commissioned by the Scottish Government, for Raigmore Hospital and Cromarty Courthouse Museum. His work is in the collections of the Scottish and Irish Governments.
