Roddy Buchanan and Fort Wil­liam Shinty Club Roddy is a Scot­tish film and in­stal­la­tion artist who stud­ied at Glas­gow School of Art. He has pre­vi­ously been com­mis­sioned as British War Artist by the Im­pe­rial War Mu­seum, and his work is in the col­lec­tions of the Tate and the Na­tional Gal­leries of Scot­land.

Deirdre Nel­son and New­ton­more Ca­manachd Deirdre was born in North­ern Ire­land, grad­u­ated from Glas­gow School of Art, and has a par­tic­u­lar in­ter­est in Gaelic sports. She works mainly with tex­tiles, and has had solo shows at An To­bar on Mull, Taigh Chearsab­hagh on North Uist, and has worked on Fair Isle, Orkney and in Ice­land.

Tom Smith and Beauly Shinty Club

For­mer Lo­vat shinty player Tom is the co-founder and co-di­rec­tor of the re­search and de­sign col­lec­tive Lat­eral North. Their work has rep­re­sented Scot­land at the Venice Bi­en­nale, and has been ex­hib­ited at the Scot­tish Par­lia­ment. They are cur­rently work­ing on a crofters’ me­mo­rial project for Staf­fin on Skye.

John Mc­naught and Skye Ca­manachd

John grew up in Skye and now works as a print­maker and pho­tog­ra­pher, and is stu­dio man­ager at the High­land Print Stu­dio. He has had work com­mis­sioned by the Scot­tish Govern­ment, for Raig­more Hospi­tal and Cro­marty Court­house Mu­seum. His work is in the col­lec­tions of the Scot­tish and Ir­ish Gov­ern­ments.
