The Scots Magazine

Matter Of Opinion

- ROBERT WIGHT, Editor mail@scotsmagazine.com

THE Scots Magazine is the oldest in the world still in publication, with its first issue appearing in 1739. Everyone I know is bored of me telling them this. You’re probably tired of hearing it, too – I think I’ve mentioned it here more than once…

But it’s an incredible thought, that this magazine is almost 280 years old. It pre-dates Culloden and is older than the USA. It’s like a living piece of Scotland’s cultural heritage. It’s also YOUR magazine – you buy it, you read it, and that’s why The Scots Magazine is still thriving after all these years.

Key to our longevity and success is the fact we constantly seek to meet our readers’ needs and strive to give you more of the fantastic content you love.

We bring you the best photography, interviews with the biggest Scottish names and news of all the latest festivals and events from around our wonderful country.

We know what our readers want because we ask – and if you wish to take part in the conversation, now’s your chance. I’m inviting you to join The Scots Magazine’s Reader Panel. It means you get to have your say on our content and advertising and help shape the future of your favourite magazine. What’s more, it could also win you £50!

Our panel is a valued and trusted sounding board. We send short online surveys to members each month. They give opinions on our content, rating various aspects of the features and adverts we carry. There’s also the chance to provide general feedback. All the data will help inform any changes we might make to the magazine in future. It’s really easy to join – just visit this website: http://bit.ly/thescotsmagazinepanel

Be careful typing the address, it’s case sensitive. And when you do sign up, rest assured we’ll never do anything with your information other than ask for your participation in research.

In return, for each survey you complete, you’ll be entered into a monthly prize draw in which three lucky panellists win £50 each.

I look forward to hearing your opinions!
