● Dundee Law is the highest point of the city. Archaeolog­ical evidence suggests its slopes were used for burials some 3500 years ago.

● Broughty Castle was built in 1496 by the Gray family. The War Office purchased it in 1861, and since 1969 it has been a museum.

● Founded by William the Lion in 1178, Arbroath Abbey was where the Declaratio­n of Arbroath was drafted in 1320.
