Tram 1017

“A visit to Summerlee wouldn’t be complete without a ride on one of our historic trams,” says Clare, “so I’ve included number 1017 in the museum’s Great Eight. It was built in 1904 for the Paisley & District Tramways and operated most of its working life in the Langside area of Glasgow. The car was acquired by the museum in 1992 and was fully restored by our volunteers in the Summerlee Transport Group.”
