If you don’t mind getting wet, Ancrum’s selection of aquatic activities is unrivalled. From a gentle canoe around a scenic Scottish loch, to adrenaline-fuelled whitewater rafting, there is something to suit every pace.
If you like to keep your feet firmly planted on the ground, bushcraft might be the choice for you. Spend a day honing your outdoor survival skills with a bushcraft activity day and learn to safely build a fire, a shelter and make essential tools.
If time is of the essence and you are keen to stay within city limits, there’s plenty to do at Ancrum Outdoor Centre’s Dundee base.
The centre has its own dry ski slope and outdoor climbing wall, which are open for public use and instructor sessions throughout the year.
If you aren’t quite ready to head into the Scottish mountains for one of Ancrum’s excursions to Glenshee, then their dry ski slope is a great way to finesse your skiing and snowboarding skills. With lessons for adults and kids, you will have graduated from a clumsy snowplough to agile parallel skiing in no time.
If you don’t mind heights, then definitely try their climbing wall. Also open to all ages, there might be a bit of friendly family competition to see who can brave the highest heights!
