Newtonmore on the brink of fifth successive Premiership success
THE destiny of the 2014 Orion Group Premiership and the make-up of the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup final could both be decided today. On what will prove to be a telling afternoon, the Premiership trophy will be on-site for presentation at Kiltarlity, should Newtonmore edge their showdown with Lovat.
Lovat, though, will be hoping to prevent the blue-and-white ribbons from being draped around year.
A victory for them will keep their own title hopes alive, and push everything towards the climactic last few weeks.
Newtonmore boss PJ MacKintosh said: “As we do every week, we will be going into the game looking for a win. I don’t think

“The next two weeks are huge for us, with the Macaulay Cup final the week later so it is the crunch end of the season where we need to put something in the cabinet.

One thing for certain is that the second Camanachd Cup finalist will be decided today, with lower league Skye eager to

Kingussie made it into the 13 September showcase last weekend and will await developments eagerly.
This is Skye’s first semi-final in 14 years, while Glen haven’t been this far in the competition in two decades.
