Aggreko boss takes reins on 2 January

AGGREKO’S new chief executive, Chris Weston, will start his job at the temporary power specialist on 2 January, it was confirmed yesterday.

Weston, whose appointment was revealed in May, is joining the Glasgow-based group from Centrica, where he was head of international “downstream” operations which includes the British/Scottish Gas business.

Ken Hanna, currently executive chairman of Aggreko, will revert to his previous role of non-executive chairman on 2 January. The firm is due to report on 14 November.
