Cirrus Logic sounds note of optimism
CHIP maker Cirrus Logic said strong demand for portable audio products had driven revenues above expectations.
The US group reported fourth-quarter sales of $255.2 million (£165.6m) and full-year revenues of $916.6m, aided by its acquisition of Edinburghbased audio innovator Wolfson Microelectronics.
Jason Rhode, Cirrus president and chief executive, said: “As we move into FY16, we expect revenue to grow… as shipments of products designed for audio and voice applications in mobile devices accelerate.”
