The Princess Royal, Patron, Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, attended the Annual Conference at the International Convention Centre, Broad Street, Birmingham, and was received by Professor Deirdre Kelly (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

Her Royal Highness, patron, the Royal Scots Club, received Mr Brian Adair upon relinquishing his appointment as chairman of trustees and Major General Mark Strudwick upon assuming the appointment.

The Princess Royal, Commandant-in-chief (Youth), St John Ambulance, later held a Young Achievers’ Reception at St James’s Palace.

The Princess Royal, patron, the Whitley Fund for Nature, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, attended the Annual Awards Ceremony at the Royal Geographical Society, Kensington Gore, London, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

Princess Alexandra, Royal Honorary Freeman, the Worshipful Company of Barbers, attended a reception at Barber-surgeons’ Hall, Monkwell Square, Wood Street, London.

Her Royal Highness, patron, the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals, later attended the presentation of the PDSA Order of Merit at Goldsmiths’ Hall, Foster Lane, London.
