BRAID EXPECTATIONS

Blow hair salon in Finnieston has launched a braid bar, with styles from £8 to £20, just in time for festival season. Choose from a menu of tight cornrows, French plaits or fishtails, with quirky names like The Notorious B.R.A.I.D and Braid in Glasgow. LET US SPRAY

Runners and cyclists who want to go out after dark might fancy trying the Albedo 100 temporary reflective spray paint (£12.99) from Halfords. Made from powder-fine reflective particles, it glows in the glare of car lights and can be applied to clothing, skateboards, scooters, shoes, backpacks and bicycles. It lasts a week but can be washed off. www.halfords.com

WHOLLY MOLEY

The British Skin Foundation has launched their Molly the Mole campaign (buy a cute wristband at www.marthaandhepsie.com, £2) to encourage people to check their moles. They’re asking people to ask friends or family members to check areas they can’t see, such as the back of ears, scalp and back, and to watch out for moles that are growing, changing shape or colour, inflamed, bleeding, crusting, reddening round the edges or itching. Visit your GP if you’re worried. britishskinfoundation.org.uk
