#ANDREALEADSOM

Andrea Leadsom saw off competition from Michael Gove to ensure Britain’s next prime minister will be female. Theresa May collected the most votes to be the next Tory leader, but the result was hailed by supporters of Ms Leadsom, the sole Brexit campaigner left in the race. @matthaig1 said: “Andrea Leadsom is a big fan of foxhunting but not the right for gay people to marry. She also likes Brexit. Ticks all the boxes. Lovely.” @Dorianlynskey wrote: “All that lying and backstabbing and you get owned by Andrea Leadsom. Sarah Vine’s going to be cutting up rough chez Gove tonight.” @Dpjhodges tweeted: “Here’s the problem for May. She’s just run away with the Tory leadership ballot. And everyone’s talking about Andrea Leadsom.”

Huge implications for England and Labour.” @libby_brooks posted: “Dugdale signals on indyref2: I’ll defend benefits Scotland gets as part of UK & argue we’re stronger in union with biggest trading partner.” @Themattywilson said: “Kezia Dugdale complaining about the Tories overruling Scotland. She finally wakens up!”
