Man dies after stabbing attack

A man has died after he was stabbed in an attack in Kirkcaldy.

Police and ambulance were called to the incident at 6.10pm on Saturday. They found the man critically injured and he was taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Infirmary, where he died later.

Police said they had a “positive line of inquiry” but appealed to anyone with information about the incident.

Ch Insp Steven Hamilton said: “We believe this to have been an isolated incident.”
