Motorist cut free after serious road collision

The A98 between Fochabers and Cullen in Moray has been closed after a serious collision, police have said.

The incident happened at 11:30am yesterday near the Findochty junction. Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said one appliance had been sent to the scene.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to free one of the casualties, who was trapped in their car. Police said the road was likely to be closed for some time.
