Grange beef up their challenge for the title

-

Grange kept in touch with the first division leaders and improved their goal difference at the expense of Clydesdale. Two goals each from Callum Milne, Frank Ryan and Todd Mills with one from Luke Cranney proved too much for Clydesdale in Grange’s 7-2 win.

Kelburne saw off Grove Menzieshill when, despite being pulled back to 1-1 by Hamish Galt after leading through Nick Finlayson, Jonny Christie netted twice after the break to seal the points. Hillhead’s 7-6 win over leaders Watsonians eased them away from the bottom two and allowed Kelburne to catch Watsonians, albeit one behind on goal difference.

In the women’s league, Edinburgh University lost ground to the leaders as a result of their 1-0 defeat to Milne Craig Clydesdale Western, while Grove Menzieshill maintained second place on with a 4-0 win over Hillhead. Dundee Wanderers had to come from behind to draw 2-2 with Erskine Stewart’s Melville and CALA Edinburgh lost 4-1 to Watsonians.
