- By PAUL WARD

Police have praised the “dignity and bravery” of the family of a missing French student as officers continue the search for him.

Antoine Maury, 21, was last seen at about 10pm on Monday, 24 October when he left the company of his friends at Edinburgh College’s Milton Road East campus.

A man matching his description was later seen between 10:45pm and 11pm near to the Duddingston Village area of Holyrood Park, heading into the park. He was believed to be topless. This is thought to be the last known sighting of Mr Maury.

Mr Maury’s mother, Laura, has described life without her son as “unbearable”.

Antoine is white, of medium build with green eyes. He is about 6ft with short brown hair and a beard. He has a tattoo of a bleeding hand on his forearm.
