Police seize £12k worth of drugs in vehicle operation

Two men have been charged after police recovered a quantity of class A drugs with a street value of £12,000 in an operation in Midlothian.

Officers travelling in an unmarked vehicle pulled over a BMW at the Justin Lees roundabout in Dalkeith in the early hours of Wednesday. The men, aged 25 and 35, have been reported to the procurator­fiscal and were expected to appear at court yesterday. Sergeant Stuart Aitchison said: “Thanks to some excellent police work a quantity of dangerous drugs have been removed from our streets.”
