Local projects to share £4m pot from Big Lottery Fund
Almost £4 million is to be given to 26 projects across Scotland by the Big Lottery Fund.
The money comes as part of a five-year, £250m scheme designed to support people and communities to overcome challenging circumstances.
In Edinburgh, Sleep Scotland is to receive £349,566 to set up a dedicated support system for parents and carer children with sleeping difficulties.
Home-start, a group in the north of Glasgow, is to receive £440,000 to deliver practical and emotional support to families in the area regarded as living in challenging circumstances.
It has also been announced that £150,000 will be awarded to Starcatchers, a group based in Fife which will use the funding to offer a programme of creative activities for young parents, with children aged under two years old, living in and around the Wester Hailes area of Edinburgh and in Lochgelly, Fife.
