Americans sat down to Thanksgiving dinners with families yesterday, hoping politics weren’t mentioned. @myfeetonfleek wrote: “A little Valium goes a long way. Happy Thanksgiving.” @Jamiraburley mourned: “Can’t imagine eating in celebration of Thanksgiving with the knowledge that Native Americans are being forced off THEIR land.” @Veganari said: “I’m thankful the candidate I voted for doesn’t surround herself with racists, white supremacists, neo-nazis, and homophobes.” @Projectseventh added: “As you count your blessings, don’t just express your gratitude in words, live by them. Happy Thanksgiving!” The new Queensferry Crossing is a magnificent project, in principle. However, China, Spain and Poland are supplying the steel. Due date for completion is around a year past initial planning. The existing FRB closed last year causing major disruption to traffic and the local economies of Fife and the Lothians due to lack of SNP government maintenance investment. Forth Crossing Bridge Constructors (FCBC) consortium is a consortium of Hochtief from Germany, American Bridge Pittsburgh, USA, Dragados from Spain and Morrison Construction from Scotland. Therefore fewer Scottish workers are employed than could have been if the project was run by Scots for Scots, and now we find there are illegal immigrants working on the bridge.

This contract was awarded by the SNP whose slogan is “stronger for Scotland”. A more accurate slogan would be “failing Scotland”.
