JOHN EOIN DOUGLAS What an excellent piece of journalism from Tom Peterkin in Thursday’s Scotsman! Not only does he kebab the Scottish Government Brexit minister, Mike Russell, with the lie that five million Scots did not wish to surrender their EU citizenship. He also deconstructs Russell’s self-serving politico-speak and makes it clear no talks with Spain about Scotland’s position within the EU have ever taken place!

This is what quality newspapers should be about. Giving the lie to what politicians claim as we emerge into a “post-truth” reality. Well done, The Scotsman!
