- By EMMA NEWLANDS

A business that provides a “search-and-recommendation” service for key global players in TV and entertainment including Sky has announced that it is expanding its Glasgow headquarters, creating 23 jobs.

Thinkanalytics, which was formed in 2001 and serves more than 200 million subscribers across 40 countries in 38 languages, said its growth is the result of “strong and growing” demand for its technol- ogy from around the world. The expansion is also backed by Scottish Enterprise with a £250,000 regional selective assistance grant.

The firm’s founder and chief technology officer Peter Docherty said it now has “the largest team of algorithm specialists, analytics and information scientists aimed at the media content search-andrecommendations market worldwide”. He added: “We are now looking for more topnotch specialists to join the team as we embark on our next phase of expansion.”
