Teenagers find man’s body in woodland

The body of a 46-year-old man was discovered by a group of teenagers in a woodland.

The grim discovery was made just after 6pm on Sunday in Auchmountain Glen, just off Kilmacolm Road in the town’s east end.

Detective Sergeant Alex Allardyce of Greenock CID said the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious following the find.

He said: “A 46-year-old male was found deceased just after 6pm on Sunday.”

The dead man’s next of kin have been informed of his death.
