Teenage pair tried to pass fake £50 note in shop

Police in East Lothian are warning local businesses after two teenagers tried to pass fake £50 notes at the Co-op stores in Tranent and Haddington.

The pair, both around 16 with Irish accents, attempted to buy various goods using a fake £50 note last Friday.

The boy is described as 5ft 8ins tall with short dark hair. The girl is 5ft 5ins tall with blonde hair. People with informatio­n can call Police Scotland on 101.
