Aberdeen Emotive issue

There were interesting developments with our stadium plans recently. Firstly, Aberdeenshire Council’ s vote, as the neighbouring authority, is not the important one but they voted 6-5 against the plan. Interestingly, it had been tied 5-5 and a deciding vote went to the chairman, who had already voted no, so in effect he got two votes. It was refreshing however, that there is support in Aberdeenshire for the stadium despite suggestions otherwise.

Secondly, therwe was a report that fake objections had been sent in to the council, one local being informed by the council that the objections from fictional people at his address had been recorded. The stadium is an emotive issue but both sides should conduct themselves honestly rather than resort to lies and deception.
