Man treated in hospital after robbery ordeal

A 46-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was robbed and assaulted by a group in Renfrewshire.

Detectives are appealing for information after the incident in Elderslie at around 1:45am yesterday morning.

Themanwasonoldroad when he was approached by a woman and three men who assaulted and robbed him. The group made off in the direction of Elderslie Cemetery. Detective Constable Laura Durnie said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim who required hospital treatment for his injuries.”
