Three teenagers assaulted in disturbanc­e

Three teenagers were assaulted in a “large scale” incident involving a number of youths.

Police were called to the disturbanc­e in Bishopbrig­gs, East Dunbartons­hire, shortly after midnight yesterday.

A 16-year-old boy suffered a serious assault during the fracas in Auchinairn Gardens. He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and released after treatment. Two other boys, aged 15 and 16, were also assaulted. The younger of the two was taken to hospital and later discharged, while the 16-year-old was treated at the scene.
