RAF and Lamborghini join forces to support Benevolent fund

-

Teams from 603 Sqn (City of Edinburgh), 502(Ulster)sqn, RAF Lossiemouth and 870(Dreghorn) ATC Sqn are joining forces to take part in the Hairy Haggis Relay on Sunday 28 May.

The 11 teams will compete for a trophy and prize sponsored by Lamborghini Edinburgh for the Best Fundraising Team and also the Fastest Team to finish.

Andy Canning, Lamborghini Edinburgh said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the trophy, team prize and also the Pasta Party at 603 Sqn on the Saturday night. Lamborghini are proud to support the work of the RAF Benevolent Fund.

“When Zee Fletcher, the Regional Fundraiser, first approached us with the concept of teams from the broad spectrum of age groups from cadets to Reservists we were delighted to get involved.”

Zee Fletcher, Regional Fundraiser at the RAF Benevolent Fund said: “I would just like to thank Lamborghini Edinburgh for sponsoring the awards and the pasta party and 603 Sqn for all their support.

“The RAF Benevolent Fund receives no routine funding and so relies on the generosity of individuals doing events like the Hairy Haggis to carry out the work it does.”

The Hairy Haggis relay sees teams of four runners tackle a marathon, with each participant taking on a quarter of the race, as part of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival.
