Motorist suffers ‘targeted’ attack

A motorist has suffered a serious chest injury in a “targeted” attack in Renfrewshire.

The assault happened at 8:40pm on Friday while the 29-year-old man was sitting in his car on the westbound carriageway of Glasgow Road in Renfrew.

A white car parked behind him and a man got out and approached him as he got out of his car.

He was assaulted with a sharp object before the suspect drove off. Anyone with information on the attack is asked to call 101.
