Man, 29, charged after £40,000 drugs find

A 29-year-old man from the Birmingham area has been arrested and charged and was due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday following the recovery of approximat­ely £40,000 worth of drugs including cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy.

The recovery was made from a vehicle in the Dee Street area of Aberdeen on Friday, 19 May.

The man has also been charged in relation to road traffic offences.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Sherlock said: “Tackling the illegal supply of drugs in our communitie­s is a priority for us.”
