Elliott in court move over Akzo

Activist investor Elliott Advisors has taken Akzonobel to court in its latest bid to oust the Dulux owner’s chairman and launch takeover talks with PPG Industries.

The hearing was held at the Dutch Enterprise Chamber in Amsterdam, with Elliott hoping to force Akzonobel to hold an extraordinary general meeting.
