Police seek men after assault in stairwell

A trio of thugs repeatedly battered a man and left him with serious injuries in West Lothian.

The incident occurred around 1:30am on Sunday in a common stairwell of flats in Whitburn.

During the assault, the 37-year-old victim was punched in the face and kicked repeatedly.

He was taken to St John’s Hospital and treated for serious facial injuries.

Three men are believed to have been involved.
