Two girls, 13, charged over fire-raising

Two teenage girls, both aged 13, have been charged in connection with an alleged wilful fire-raising at the Buckie Shipyard site.

Emergency services were alerted to reports of a fire at around 5:30pm on Sunday at a disused office building at Commercial Road.

Damage worth a five figure sum was caused, although no-one was injured. Two girls were subsequently charged and will be reported to the youth justice management unit.
