Hibs to play Sunderland

Hibs will play Sunderland next month in a pre-season friendly that will double as Lewis Stevenson’s testimonial match.

Stevenson is the Easter Road side’s longest-serving player and the only one in the history of the club to have won Scottish football’s two major cups.

The popular left-back is donating over half the proceeds from his testimonial year to charity, with Cardiac Risk in the Young and Leith Links set to benefit from the match at Easter Road on Sunday July 9.

Sunderland, who have been linked with Aberdeen manager Derek Mcinnes, will also face Livingston at Almondvale on 12 July.
