Pilot injured after plane crashes in field

A pilot has been taken to hospital after his light aircraft crashed into a field in Fife.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Pilmuir Road, Lundin Links, at around 11.05am yesterday.

Police said the 75-yearold pilot was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee with what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries. An investigation is under way.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A cordon remains in place and inquiries continue to establish the full circumstances.”
