Earnings turn flat at Goldman Sachs

Goldman Sachs reported flat earnings for the second quarter, following poor performance in its trading division.

The Wall Street firm said it earned $1.63 billion (£1.25bn), basically unchanged from the same period a year earlier. Overall revenue fell to $7.89bn from $7.93bn a year earlier.
