“I’m delighted to be involved in this special group,” said head coach Scott Wight. “We achieved exactly what we set out to do from day one.”

Wight used the same squad who won the first round of the trophy in the Czech Republic last month and was rewarded with another display of total domination.

They thrashed Romania 32-0 in the semi-final yesterday after a 50-0 victory over Latvia in the last eight. On Saturday’s opening day the Scots crushed Malta 41-0, Finland 38-0 and the Czech Republic 45-0.
