Block of flats damaged in deliberate fire

A block of flats in East Dunbartonshire has suffered extensive damage after it was deliberately set ablaze. Emergency services were called to School Lane in Lennoxtown at about 12.10am on Tuesday after reports of a fire.

All residents from the four properties had to be evacuated and their homes were badly damaged by the flames.

A joint investigation between police and fire services resulted in the incident being treated as wilful.

Those with information are asked to call officers at Police Scotland on 101.
