Steamship returns home to the Clyde
Historic Scottish steamship the TS Queen Mary is to be berthed permanently on the Clyde. The ship was rescued from scrap by a group of trustees and is undergoing a £2 million restoration.
The Queen Mary returned to the Clyde last year, more than eight decades after being launched, and its temporary base at the Glasgow Science Centre will now become its new home. It is estimated the vessel will welcome 150,000 visitors each year once restored.
