Michele Horrigan & Sean Lynch: Ignore the Management
Irish artists and curators Horrigan and Lynch are the kind of artists who refuse to stay within the confines of the art world; their explorations and investigations always take them into the public realm. Horrigan has been pursuing lines of inquiry around the mineral ore, bauxite, which is imported from Guinea in Africa and used to make aluminium for Irish industry. Lynch is concerned with a blanket ban on the amateur use of metal detectors since the 1980s. Expect contemporary art at its most engaged. Peacock Visual Arts, Aberdeen, until 21 October, 01224 639539
