Grange miss chances as Kelburne go top

Grange and Western Wildcats served up a thrilling 3-3 draw at Auchenhowi­e, but the dropped points benefited Bromac Kelburne who resumed top spot in the first division on goal difference.

The Edinburgh side had their chances to clinch all three points, leading twice in the second half, but David Knipe’s charges failed to tame the Wildcats.

Kelburne were 6-1 winners over Wanderers, with two goals for Johnny Christie.

Edinburgh University saw off Hillhead 5-1, while Clydesdale left Inverleith bottom of the table with a 6-1 victory. Ciaran Crawford scored a hat-trick.

In the women’s first division Wildcats retained their perfect record,defeating Grange 3-0, with goals by Alex Stuart, Heather Aitken and Emma Mcdairmid.
