Moral issue

Perhaps the reason no woman political leader has backed the banning of pornography (Letters, 9 November) is the swift realisation that beyond being a piece of cheap mob appealing rhetoric it simply would not cure that which it is hoped to.

Quite aside from one person’s artistic nude being another’s pornography the simple truth is decline in usage of anything considered undesirable is linked to changes in the zeitgeist as a whole, never from any moral crusade.
