- By SCOTT REID

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has unveiled more than 30 promotions in Scotland, in a move it said reflected its “continued investment in people and talent”.

The firm added that the 33 promotions spanned the audit and assurance, risk advisory services and tax practices in its Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. Uk-wide, BDO has promoted a record high of 1,110 people.

The practice appointed three partners in Scotland in addition to 22 new partners elsewhere in the UK in the last financial year and, lastmonth,announced280 new trainees.

Martin Gill, head of BDO in Scotland, said: “These 33 promotions really underline the talent we have within our team. Our success is all because of our team and their continued hard work and commitment.

“As a firm, we are committed to investing in our people, creating an environment where talent and hard work is recognised and rewarded, with continued professional development encouraged.”
